Abu Dhabi (Arabic: أبو ظبي, transcribed Abu Zabi, Father translation gazelle) is the capital of UAE and administrative center of the emirate with the same name. It is headed by Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while the United Arab Emirates and emir.
Abu Dhabi lies on a T-shaped island, in front of the Arabian Gulf (Persian). The city population was 860,000 people in 2007 and it is estimated that by 2030 the number of people will live in this city will exceed 3 million. In order to adapt the city for such
a population, large projects are currently underway to modernize the infrastructure.
